Some of, 18 time Country Music Alberta nominated recording artist, Trevor Panczak's first songs learned on guitar, were of Don Williams. Trevor thought it came full circle when he had the opportunity to open up for Don Williams’ final Canadian tour in 2013. It came even more full circle when he recorded a tribute album with Don Williams band, at the Sound Emporium where Don Williams recorded many of his hit records. 

Trevor worked up the courage to ask Don's son Tim if he'd send his father's trademark hat and guitar to the studio so they could be even more connected while they recorded the album and Tim said "Well, if Daddy's hat wasn't at the Country Music Hall of Fame right now, I'd do it for ya but I will send the guitar down." and he did. The Gibson L5 stood in the middle of Studio A for the entirety of the sessions connecting everyone in the room even more.  At the end of those recording sessions, Trevor was given the gift of Don Williams last set list as a token of appreciation from Anna Jaap, the widow of Don Williams road manager Gus Laux.
